12th Birthday Party

We celebrated B1's 12th birthday last night with a swimming party at the Korte Recreation Center in Highland. I think a good time was had by all. She invited eleven girls and B2 invited one. Bruce and I LOVED this party! In the past, she has always wanted to have sleepover parties. We have always taken the girls (usually 5-7 of them) out for pizza and bowling and then back to our house for cake, ice cream, presents, and.......wildness! Then the next morning, we have to deal with breakfast and who is being picked up at what time, etc. etc. This party had none of that! We didn't have to clean up, we didn't have to deal with any drama (there were plenty of things to do.....if someone got angry at someone else, they could just move on to the next form of recreation!), and we got a good night's sleep! YAY!!

Here is B2 (on the left), our new neighbor and our old neighbor.

Here is B1 (on the left) with 3 of her friends. The mini indoor waterpark is a big hit.

I brought a big crock pot of mac 'n cheese as well as a few big bags of chips. We were provided hot dogs, popcorn, and soda. We had access to the big party room for 1.5 hours (after the girls swam for 2.5 hours)

Her cake was really pretty. I ordered extra flowers and Wal-Mart (Katie's FAVORITE store) did a great job with it. This was not included in the price.

You always gotta have one of these pics, don't you?

The whole group of them! Fun picture! I'll pay $108 for a party like this anytime!
