After we left Cedar Point, we drove east to Cleveland and visited the house that was used in the movie "A Christmas Story," which was released in 1983. This is one of my all time favorite movies, not just at Christmastime, but at any time of the year! The man who purchased the house in 2005 restored it to make it look like it did in the movie and then opened it to the public in November, 2006. This is where they filmed all the outside footage and some of the inside shots as well. It was AWESOME! Across the street from the house is a museum and next door to that is (of course) a gift shop.
This is the sign in front of the house.
Here is a picture and the actual Little Orphan Annie secret decoder pin that Ralphie received in the mail.
This is an actual coat that Ralphie wore in the movie.
The actual snowsuit worn by Randy in the movie (remember "I can't put my arms down!")
This is an actual prop of a toy that Randy received on Christmas morning.
Here is the mailbox in front of the house.
And if you are a true fan, you remember what happened with this bowling ball on Christmas morning! It was wrapped in the movie though. And look to the right; see a bit of a jumble of extension chords!?!

More pictures from this part of the trip to come tomorrow!
